Happily passed 150,000 miles on the '99 last week. :D I love rolling up the miles just because I can.

Called a local high volume dealer last week to discuss trade possibilities for a '03 or '04. Ain't happen'. KBB says the truck is worth $9,000 on trade value... dealer offered $6,000. :--)

Solution: Stick the money in the bank and pay cash for the '05 and keep the '99:D Oo. :D

trade

If you are thinking trade, by all means I would trade before I get stuck with a '04 EGR truck. There is no way EGR can be good for engines, think about consuming your own excrement! The only way I would hold off is if there is solid information that someone has developed the software/hardware to block EGR.

In class 8 fleets, fuel economy is down from 2-5% with the new EGR engines.

I have my sights on 500,000 miles, and we'll see what developes by then.

Sell yourself, don't trade..

You know they will take all they can from you, don't let 'em, the snasty bastages. I'm with Ray Torresdal, going for 500,000... . only 327,000 to go. Oo.

If I was to trade...

I would just sell it, instead of trade it. Still thinking about cash in the bank and pay for an '05 outrite.

Who knows what the future holds (hypothetical)? I do know that the wife and I have our first curtain climber on the way!Oo. Life is good! Oo. A quad cab would be nice, but we can make it a year or so without.
