Need Gasser BOMBing advise

After hearing all the whining liberals on the radio today appoligizing for "dropping the Bomb" to end the war, I want to say ... thank you Mr. Truman for saving my pop's life.

After 2+ years in Europe in Patton's 3rd Army, he was shipped off to Okanowa to be part of the Mainland Invasion set for the fall of 1945. Most likely he would not have made it through that tour of duty.

Does anyone think that if the Japs had the Bomb at the time of Pearl Harbor, that they would have refrained from using it, let alone warning Pearl that they were planning to drop it the next day (like we did before we dropped them)? Ask those POS appologist that question the next time they say how awful it was for the US to drop the Bomb.

I agree with you... I never have heard an apology from the japanese for surprising Pearl Harbor boys.

War is war. Nobody likes it, but it is a fact of life.

FatCat... I am glad your Pop was spared. Moms and Dads are very special.

I agree 100%

I'm with You 100% on this one, FATCAT, sounds like our dads were in the same situation. I sure am glad that he is still with us, He's still my best buddy. These "bleeding heart liberals" need to learn that the "bombs" were the lesser of 2 evils, they also need to learn that you can't change history, but, you can learn from it.

Sorry if this P. O. 's anyone, but, this is near & dear to the heart for me.

Mill Rat... I'm sorry, but every time I read one of your posts, I forget what you say cause I am laughing too hard at your avatar! :D

Well said, Fatcat. That's one of the reasons I don't want to see the movie Pearl Harbor. I can't believe they changed it to avoid offending the Japanese. Is there anything in this world that somebody isn't offended by? Personally, I'm offended by all of these people who are always offended. Who let them on my planet, anywho?

My Dad was a frustrated wannabe pilot repairing sheet metal on Harvards (AT-6s) at Trenton, Ontario during the war. Today he's in a hospital dying of cancer. We hardly saw eye-to-eye on anything, but I'll miss him.

Tommy T, real sorry to hear about your dad.

As to Hiroshima... . built in America, tested in Japan. Nuff said. What they started with Pearl Harbor, we finished. How many of them are sorry over PH, bet it ain't many.

Expanding signature

 Bigsaint, Wow! Every time You post Your signature grows longer! I suspect Your BOMBitis is incurable! LOL:D  :D

I also agree 100%!!! Dropping that bomb definitely saved my Father's and my Uncle's lives. They were both headed for Japan as part of the invasion forces when the news broke about the bomb being dropped!

I can't believe that these idiots can't seem to understand how many "AMERICAN" lives were saved by not having to invade Japan.

War is hell. Period. Killing your enemies is one thing but the evidence that our fearless leader knew IN ADVANCE that there was an attack planned on Pearl, and let it happen so that he could use it to propel us into the European conflict is THE real infamy. It makes me sick that this may be true. Wonder if we will ever know the truth? Sure is interesting that the flat tops were at sea without escorts. Any body have any thoughts on this? Please tell me he didnt know they were coming.

lol@MilRat. I did find a cure, but it seems only good for the short term, and it is also an illness, called lackomoneyitis, seems common among most BOMBer's, the cure is PAYDAY :D
