my 02 has been starting hard off and on latley, today after work -6 F let the

grids go twice and it would fire but quit, even if you kept cranking, had to play with the throttle then it started ,but sounded like crap until it did,but then the next time it will start right up cold, good batts. wondering if anyones had to replace a soleniod or some part of the grid system because of a intermittent problem like this? had a 00 that i've started at -25 without plugging in,at that temp was the only time that truck acted like this.

the 02 has done this at 20F also.

also was looking at the fuel guage and had at least 8psi when I started cranking.

would like to hear from anyone who has experienced a sort of (dead throttle) while towing -especially excellerating- sometimes I've had to clutch it to get the throttle responce back, but normal comuting to work has no symtoms???

VP-44??,throttle position sensor?? had it checked under warr. yet, they found nothing-big surprize!!!!!!! and help appreciated, thanks Luke

02 HO,QC,SB,4WD,sport,4" straight piped,285'S,comp-but no wire tap yet!

did you check for codes ? off on 3 times without starting engine. leave key on after third time. read codes in odometer window. let os know what you see.

truck had a really hard time getting started today,0 F,think its time to pull the comp off and take it in to the flunkies for warr. repiar. read codes but don't have a book to look them up not sure where to get one,and is there a seperate engine and truck book? p pcu -p 0500,p 1693. p ecu-p 0216,p 1693 is there a place to find these?

The OBDII code list is in the Truck 911 forum on this site. It is the 3rd sticky from the top. That 216 code means you have serious trouble with the injection pump.
