Quick question. My cold start advance sensor doesn't seem to be working when I start my truck up in the morning. It puffs smoke and runs rough for the first couple of minutes. How can I test if my sensor is working or not? I am not getting any power down to the solenoid at the injector pump. The sensor is around $100 so I just don't want to pop one in to see if it fixes it.
As well I am having some issues with my grid heater, I am getting power up to the grid heater when I am supposed to, but judging from how much smoke I am puffing, I know it's not heating up properly if at all. I also don't notice any drop in voltage when the relays are cycling off and on.
These problem all go away when the truck has been plugged in for an hour or so before starting. It's almost summer, so it isn't a huge concern, but it has been bugging me none the less.
Any ideas?
