Hard shift into reverse

Have a 98.5 2500 5 speed manual with about 175,000 miles. Recently there have been times it was really hard to shift into reverse. Tried moving forward a bit and then try again but it still was hard. Other times goes into reverse smoothly. Fluid level checked to be at correct level and even changed on off chance might be the fluid . Still same response sporadically as before. Any other ideas as to cause and possible fix?

If you change the oil in the 5 speed make sutre you use SYNTORQ Mopar or G or AMZOIL equiv!! I can tell a horror story here, as it cost me a a transmission NV4500!
Had a hard shifting problem from start up and it was a failed pilot bearing not letting the trans input shaft release causing the hard shift.
