I had a problem with the clutch seeming to not disengage. It began intermittently, and so much so that the dealer did not accept that I was having the problem. It did not want to go into gear at a stop. By the time it did it consistently enough for them to see, the problem had destroyed synchros and they replace the entire transmission. At that time they replaced the hydraulic clutch master and slave.

The problem came back quickly, and I pressed them hard. Finally Chrysler got involved and directed them to replace pressure plate, disc, release bearing, release lever [I think there were two associated pieces], and pilot bushing. Chrysler was critical of them not having replaced all of those items the first time. I suspect replacing the trans was not a happy thing for them.

That fixed it and it has never failed since, with approximately 35,000 miles when fixed and now about 63,000.

I'm kinda leaning that way also. I guess when it starts to act up again I'll jst put the clutch and pressure plate in. For some reason it is about 80% better now ?
