Well all the mods were put back to stock before I took the truck in for mikel. ... ... ... ... ... ... Let me know if I am thinking right or I am completely over board. Thanks.

You are completely overboard.

As you've already observed, a dealer is not going to perform warranty repairs on a trashed new truck that has clearly been modified and abused.

You only fool yourself when you say "all the mods were put back to stock before I took the truck in for (whatever)"

With a computer controlling fueling and boost and the computer monitoring all sensors you only fooled yourself. Any marginally trained Dodge diesel tech can read out the operating history of your engine and can immediately tell that it has been operated out of it's design parameters and that sensors have been removed.

Last year, when I was experiencing a driveability issue with my high mileage '06 Ram I took it to a skilled Cummins tech at the dealer where I bought the truck and asked him to perform the operational test. He did and showed me the printout and explained it. He could tell what percentage of the time the truck had been idled, percentage of time it had been operated at every power level between idle and full power, what rpm range it had been operated at, and more.

You've heard or read the mantra many times here on the TDR site: "You are your own warranty station. "

You may as well get your wallet out if you want the truck repaired.

I write this not to give you a hard time or even to influence your decision or behavior, I write this so that others contemplating doing what you have done will understand. You can no longer fool the dealer.

And it is fraud that costs all current and future Dodge owners when you obtain warranty work at manufacturer's expense after modifying and abusing the truck.

There has never been a question of my warrenty on the truck. The dealer has made no comments about voiding my warrenty, this is not the issue. The issue is that my transmission does not shift right. They have now rebuilt it twice, new T/C and new clutches and sensors and it still is not right. O and just so you know, for none of it did I have to DIG into my wallet. I am just trying to find a way to get the transmission fixed. The truck is always wanting to puss its self, very hard to stop. That is all I am complaining about.

Well all the mods were put back to stock before I took the truck in for mikel . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I know that this is unethecial and prob illegal, but the dealer told me they were working for Dodge and they only had to patch it together for another 10k Then I was on my own and they would be glad to put a new one in for me if I payed for it. Basically they could out last me. Let me know if I am thinking right or I am completely over board. Thanks.

Your earlier post still reads like warranty fraud to me.

Your own words in your previous post said it all. According to you, the dealer told you they will install a new transmission at your expense.

What is it you are complaining about if not your effort to force your dealer to allow you to commit warranty fraud at Chrysler's expense?

I don't personally care what you do with your truck. It is none of my business. But when you openly discuss your efforts to defraud your Dodge dealer and Chrysler on this website which can be read by anyone in the world you bring discredit to every TDR member and to the folks who own and operate it. In fact, to citizens of other countries around the globe you bring discredit to every American. If management doesn't step in or another member doesn't comment on your effort to commit fraud we appear to the entire world to condone it. I do not consider cheating your dealer or Chrysler ethical or proper.

I don't want strangers around the world to assume that my character and sense of right and wrong is the same as yours. The management and most members of the TDR are people of character and integrity and don't want to be painted as dishonest any more than I do.

The only think that is unethical here is the fact that the dealer agreed that my transmission was messed up and he only had to keep it "kinda" operating properly for another 10K(because he had no clue how to fix it). So what do I need to do to get it fixed right? I guess that should have been my political correct question.

I know that it is not your 40K dollar truck sitting in the shop screwed up. So I can see that this is not your problem, however the purpose of this fourm is to get advice, and that is what I have done. No I will not screw Dodge, I will just keep beating there door down untill A) I am out of warrenty or B) the fix it the right way.

The dealer will install a new motor if I want one, a new transmission, a new cab, new tires, they will do anything you are willing to pay for. However a messed up transmission is not something I should have to pay for, thats all I was saying when I made the comment about them allowing me to pay for a new transmission.

I have a 2008 1 Ton Ram and it acts like it is cutting out on fuel or missing. I have bleed the Deisel just in case there was so water in the filter but is still does it when i put a strain on it when I'm pulling.

Down shifting hard in tow haul nd exhaust brake on?

Help

Rucks,

If you want advice on a problem start a new thread with the question. It is not proper to hijack the original poster's thread with a new and different question and nobody will see or read your post.

Yes, you are still engaging in self-deception. YOU ARE required to pay for the trashed transmission BECAUSE you trashed it. You jacked up the engine horsepower and torque with an aftermarket programmer which exceeded the design capabilities of the transmission.

You will ultimately end up paying for your play.

The moral of this story is the same old story. "You play, you pay. " And, "you are your own warranty station when you modify. "

Welcome to the real world.
