Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) hard start and P0123

Stop to talk with a friend today shut the truck off when I went to start it about 10 min. later it took a lot more cranking to start. The truck was running for about a hour before this. Once started everything ran great. Stopped and had a bite to eat for about 45 min. started fine and did for the rest of the day. It sat for at least an hour each time before I started it. Checked codes and got P0123 (TPS voltage to high) My cruise stopped on me a couple of weeks ago don't use it much so haven't got it fixed. Didn't check codes at that time so don't know how old that code is. Two days before hard start I put a Comp in with out tapping the wire. I'm waiting on a EGT gauge. It smokes alot till the turbo gets going at about 1600 rpms but clear past that. No Check Engine Light and still can whip a powerjoke or duratrash.

Did you ground the Comp to the drivers side battery? SNOKING

I grounded the comp to the intake manifold where edge says to. I drove it to work to day with no problems even this evening when it was hot stopped at the bank for a few mins. and to fuel for a few mins. Started fine both times.
