Good Morning,
A few weeks ago I was having trouble with my truck not wanting to start. It wouldn't even try to turn the starter. There were several good suggestions from you guys, and it seemed that it had been fixed with a new starter relay and battery. After that it did it only once in a great while.
Well, last week I had the transmission down to replace the rear main seal to stop an oil leak. After everything was put back together, the truck wouldn't start -- same symptoms as before.
I'd have to work the transmission drive selector several times to get it to start. The problem? The bushing for the transmission linkage was really worn so the contact with the neutral/start switch was not being made. Adjust the linkage and everything works!
