SINCE IT HAS BEEN GETTING VERY COLD MY TRUCKS STARTS AND DIES A FEW TIMES AND WHEN IT STAYS RUNNING IT SPITS AND SPUTTERS AND A LOT OF WHITE SMOKE IT WILL NOT REV PAST 1400RPM. I HAVE REPLACED THE RETURN RUBBER LINE IT HAS A NEW OVERFLOW VALVE AND FUEL FILTER AND THE GRID HEATER IS WORKING AND I HAVE LOOKED ALL OVER FOR ANY SIGN OF A FUEL LEAK AND HAVEN'T FOUND ANYTHING? IT SEEMS LIKE THE FUEL MILEAGE HAS DROPPED FROM WHAT IT USE TO BE. DO YOU THINK THAT THE TIMING MAY HAVE SLIPPED? ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME!!

Don't forget the fuel preheater to lift pump hose. This is likely not your problem but sure gave me a bad time.

I know since I put the 370's in the truck it's harder to start when cold... . But I get no white smoke or stumble. Sound like timing... . Rick

winter sux

If timing checks out ... .

I have to use a lot of go pedal to get and keep it running when cold. I noticed it got much worse after the GSK and #4 plate.

I'll live with it.

After getting it running and stabilized (a whole 30 seconds?) things are OK. I will not give up the cold weather driveability of the GSK and/or plate. My timing is around 20°
