Could a fuel leak in the return line cause a loss in prime making the truck a hard start?

I checked the all the LP relocation kit fittings. I think it might be the crush washers in the banjo fitting in the return line off the VP.

Any suggestions

If you have a leak anywhere in the system that is above the level of fuel in the tank, it could potentially drain back and cause air in the system. Air leaks can be difficult to find sometimes!

In the side of the vp44 there is a check valve when you remove the return line banjo bolt. It can be bad & letting fuel bypass right back to the tank. There is a procedure for testing it in my haines manual where you use a blow gun & apply pressure to it to see if it releases.

fuel leak

Thanks... . I found the leak. It is coming from the return line but I can't tell its the line itself or the fitting. Hopefully I'll get after it tomorrow night.

I am not a mechanic nor do I claim to be, what procedure did you use to find the leak as I am having the same problem? As I do not use the forum very often could you email me at -- email address removed --. Thanks for the help
