hard starting

I have a 2003 with 5.9 in it stock no mods. Lately when I go to start it turns over 6 to 8 times before it fires off. IT idles fine runs good smooth good power good fuel mileage it has 170,000 miles and until a year ago when 2 micron filtration was added it had stock fuel filtration. I bought the truck new the injectors are original. Any idea where I should look would be helpful. Thanks

Could be those injectors . I put my extra filtration on around 90k have 165k . Mine starts OK but mileage is poor . Watch what you buy for injectors as Cerb says a lot of molested stuff out there. Call T&C and talk to Todd he will educate you.

Check your batteries first. I have thought a couple times I am headed for new injectors (220K on originals), but then it didn't start due to dead battery.

Batteries were fine spoke with Todd at T&C Diesel and replaced the injectors and dump valve turn the key cranks a half a turn and fires off like new again Todd thanks for your help
