Hard steering

My power steering seems to have taken an unplanned vacation. The fluid level is at the full mark and the front tires have 55lbs of air in them. When trying to manuver in a tight parking space or other slowspeeds it almost feels as if there is no power assist at all. waaaassssup?

try letting of the brakes when you want to turn. the brakes and steering work off the same pump. night have the dealer check it.

This is happening even when I don't have the brakes applied. What's weird is that it doesn't happen all of the time. Dan

I have been experiencing the same problem on an intermittent basis since DC replaced my steering box about 3 months ago. I'm wondering if it is possible to have air trapped somewhere in the system. If you figure out what it is, let me know. Thanks.

Same here. Only happens occasionally. Usually in tight parking lots... .
