Monday night the relay for the intake heaters on my Mom's truck (see sig) stuck on so I disconnected them. Then tuesday morning when I went to start it I forgot I had disconnected them And proceded to start it, it did start eventually:eek: If it had not been in the single digits all night it might have started easier:rolleyes:

I know it will start in fairly cold weather now:D

DUH...

Good thing its a Cummins-- The other brands won't fire under 40*:D

I hear some aplications dont even have the heaters. I dont bother with mine unless its REALY cold out (which to you may be just chilly, as its barely even frosted here let alone hit single digits yet this season)

You just get alot of that smoke that  's people off when your in town.

You need to get you intake heaters fix and plug it in if you vehicle has a block heater installed. Fords use glow plugs and I have left mine unplug over night at 30 below and it started the next morning. It sure made one heck of aloud banging noise when it started. Once you get your Cummins fix always used the intake heaters, if she does not start the first time start the heater cycle again.

Ya, I went and bought a new relay that day and installed it. So no more problems. In the apartments I live in we are only allowed 1 spot:mad: So the others end up around back in the ally:{ I don' have enough power cord to run around there. There is also no outside plug so I have to run it through an open window to get power ot there.
