Hard to start????

I have an 04 with 40xxx mi. I have had a hard start problem for a while now & have had it to several dealers. Each time they seem to not fix the problem. So far they have replaced the feul pressure sensor,feul pressure relief valve & are now replacing the lift pump. I personally suspect something else is the problem. I'm leaning towards a injector problem. Is there any way to check them my self?? Also i work for daimler chrysler truck plant & have acsess to a scanner that will do all sorts of tests. Please help this is getting old very fast.

I would guess it is the injector pump.



What kind of symtoms are you having?

I'd get a DRB-III and a service manual if I were you... but you should be educating us if you work at a DC truck plant!



[My first suspicion was the lift pump, though].

How does it run once it starts? Any missing?? With the DRBIII you can turn off each injector one at a time to see how it affects the truck.
