Anybody seen accurate resale values for these trucks on KBB, Autotrader, etc. ? I'm considering selling one of my 02 HO 3500s, but am surprised at the range (and the fact that these sites claim my 01 7. 3 F-350 is worth more??)

If you've sold a 3500 4x4 SLT, I'd love to hear what you got for it.

Get on ebay and go to the advanced search option. Type in what your looking for, and check the box for "completed listions only". That will give you listings that sold, the price they got, and also listings that didn't sell and what they got bid up to. That's the most real world you can get. How ever, there is definately truth to the saying "the right place at the right time". Only you can gauge your local market and know if that one person is waiting for your exact truck, and willing to pay a little extra for it... .

I use to be in sales and I can tell you that there can be a HUGE difference in price between two vehicles that are the same year and with options and equipment.

When I went out to buy my Ram it was about finding the right truck. I was willing to pay way more for a truck that was a total cream puff / 8. 5-9. 5 out of 10, the 10 being new.

So what I'am trying to say is it all comes down to mileage, exterior condition, are the seats punched out, has it been smoked in, any foul odours etc. A really really clean truck with the right interior, exterior colour combination with very low mileage can pull way more money than one that's the opposite, as much as double the price. When you have a truck like that or any vehicle for that matter, you can hold out for the big dough. If the first guy doesn't buy it, there will be someone waiting around the corner that will buck up for the premium piece.

I sold my 02 3500 HO, 4x4, 6spd,ST for $22,300 not to long ago,it had 48K miles on it. It was spotless, looked brand new not a ding or scratch, the inside was as new.

The truck was parked inside and I'm a clean freak so it got a bath and wax once a week.

The guy that bought it drove in from another state to get it. He couldnt belive it had 48K miles, kept telling me it looked and smelled brand new :D

That's the kind of truck I'am talking about.

Then some clown will tell that guy that bought it that, "I found the same truck for half the price". What he doesn't tell you is that it has 200,000+ miles on it. "OH but it's like new" he says... ... ... right buddy !

last april i bought my 02 in signature, 42,000, like new inside and out. about $2000 in after market acess. All seven new tires. i paid $25,000. book was $28,500. robert

I bought my 02 about a year and half ago in perfect condition with 65k on it. When I opened the hood i almost gasped in front of the owner and said "WOW a virgin... LOL" I asked him what he did with the truck (figuring you don't buy a 1 ton w/o having a purpose) he said I use it to haul my 18' bass boat... ... ... ... WHAAAAA> a little over kill don't ya think... lol
