Hey guys I have a 2001 with only 26000miles have any of you adjusted valves with this low of miles and found that they needed to be adjusted just curious if I should consider it thanks
I adjusted mine at 12000 just cause i was in there tinkering around the intakes were about 2 thou looser than ideal but well within spec. i wouldnt be too worried about it, but it is a very simple job, so it is something worth doing if you are in there. just my . 02
Don't know about a 01, but a friend of mine and myself adjusted the valves on my 99 this past weekend. I had noticed alot more valve train noise than when I got the truck a year and half ago. It has 71,000 on it now and the valves were pretty lose. Truck runs alot quiter and smoother now, other than that I haven't noticed any significant improvements.
