Dodge Ram saves life

Anyone hear any good jokes?

A friend of mine, who happens to be a TDR member, was up in the Cascade Mountains recently with his son fishing. They were in some remote area and driving out in his Ram, when he claims he and his son saw something, an animal, that they simply cannot explain. 12" foot prints, stood upright, very fast and they only got a brief glimpse. I personnaly think he was inhaling to many diesel fumes, but he's adamant about what he saw. Should I believe him?;)

Interesting. I just read a news clip yesterday about a guy who saw some "big foots" about 30yrs ago while up somewhere in Wisconsin. He said he is going back there to try and find them and shoot some photos.

I work with a sasquash

Big Rob, he is 6-6 and has a 21 size shoe:eek: you shouls see his tracks in the snow:--) :--) :--)

At Carls Jr in Salem

I am 6'6" and 270lbs. Last Saturday I stopped by Carls Jr. for lunch. There was this guy that I came almost up to his chin. He was huge, his arms were bigger than my legs and his legs were as big around as me. Had long bushy hair and a beard to boot. His feet were huge also. He may have been bigger than my uncle who is right at 7 foot tall and almost 500 lbs. If this guy ever went into the woods wearing a fur coat you would thing he was big foot.

Biggest guy I ever met was 7'4 1/2 " tall (he said), and he was damn close to my 8' ceiling! I gotta think it sucks to be that big. Day to day life must be a major pain!

OK I'll bite -

Check KEarnest's recommendation at http://www.bfro.net and go to recent sightings: Reports posted since 1 Aug 02. Check the Washington Skamania County - that's my report and I stand by it. I know it sounds odd, but believe you me, if this ever happens to you, under conditions like mine when there is simply NO OTHER explanation - you'll understand as I do now. Believe me if the animal had simply dissappeared into the forest, instead of walking in front of us across the road in the clear sun - I'd assumed it was a bear that heard the Cummins and stood up. BUT THAT WASN't the case... .

BTW - we're going back to the site with the BFRO folks on Saturday AM. It just so happens that my sighting was less han 1/4 mile from the Skookum Cast sighting seen on the home page. I didn't know this outfit existed until my little experience. So have fun if you want - but I know the difference - AND WE HAVE A FOOTPRINT - A REAL ONE MY FRIENDS!

Now that is what I call a cool experience. Many of us have fast trucks, some of us do some crazy stuff and all that, but you got to see a legend. Don't let the doubters get to you, you saw what you saw and you have tracks to prove it.

I have no doubt that there are some animals creeping about that we never see...

Personally I have never seen squat or big foot either. :D

Evil GBall here... I sure would like to believe in BF. but Ya have to figgure most of our state has been at least logged once. The critters have to hole up or come down low in the winter. So why is there no evidence of habitat i. e. dwelling, food piles, scat, bones Etc. . Our for fathers coverd every inch of this area, ever see the pic. of the packhorses on top of Mt Adams. To have a viable breeding family there would be more of these clues and siteings. The inviro wacko's would love to shut down whole streches of forrest for a breeding pair of BF's. Take care Evil GBall P. s. not my truck below I ah er drive a fordOo.

I agree with GBall. If BF was out there, it would have been verified by now. All the stories are similar to Hammersley's. They just got a glimpse, so they couldn't tell for sure. Most of the video has been a hoax. It's just fun to talk about it, but he doesn't exist in my mind. I think Hammersley saw a big damn bear. They stand on their hind legs, especially when startled, and they can really move. Could have been a grizzly! They aren't supposed to be in the neck of the woods he was in, but it wouldn't surprise me if they were. I work with Hammersley, so you can imagine he's getting a lot of ribbing. He's always been an easy target!! I told him he should have never said a word.

I'm on vacation for a week starting today. No computer. It will be fun when I get back to read additional responses to my post.

Evil GBall again. . Once I shot at a bull elk with my bow. I was about 65 yds out and it was kinda foggy. Now i stared at that guy for at least a minute or more setting up my shot estimating distance and all. I would have sworn (and my two buddies with me would also) that that guy was a big branched antler bull. I hit him in the front shoulder Real low(turns out he was 65yds and i shot 60)and he took off. We thought i missed him clean. My buddies called him back and one of them hit him high and in the back. Now he only ran about 30 yds and died. There was a blood trail from h**l. His arrow had no blood around it and thats when we figgured out i hit him low. The point is that we all swore he was huge and he turned out to be a tall spike in the velvet and we looked at him twice. A quick glance can really fool ya. Later Evil GBall:--)

Not a quick glance -

Not a glance my friends - but a full on view, in 100% sunlight - across an open road - for at least 3 seconds. Now mind you that's not long - but "..... ain't no Bar!" I've been in the woods a lot - have seen plenty of bones from elk, deer and a variety of smaller critters - HAVE NEVER RAN ACROSS THE REMAINS OF A BIG CAT NOR A BEAR - HAVE YOU???? We're sure those critters are there - but no bones.

And I know all about having difficulty with game animals, and not being able to correctly judge distances, etc - but this always happens in either poor lighting, weather or at great distances. NONE OF THIS APPLIES TO MY SITUATION!! Honest fella's - all we have, are what Clinton had with Monica - some very inconvienent facts!

In reference to shooting one - well I'm going to always have a compact rifle with me that'll do the job. In my case that's a new Ported SS Marlin 45. 70 Guide Gun loaded with Buffalo Bore 350 gr - 3500 ft lb babies) http://www.buffalobore.com/ammunition/default.htm

along with a 454 Casuall.

I know all about buck fever - but unless you've ever seen one of these, like I did, you can't imagine how you're not prepared for the event - I mean mentally! No BS - Just a Fact.
