Had mine ECM reflashed.

Did it work  What are you trying to accomplish? What is the reason for wanting to reflash the ECM? What are you hoping it will do?

If you read the TSB you understand my problem, in the mornings my truck will start out in limp mode, if I turn off the truck a few times it will reset it self. I do have a modifed vavle body and a TC. I want to make sure this will fix the computer since shop time is not cheap. Maybe I'll have the dealer sign a form stating that if this does not work, no charge to me. I hope this fills in the black spaces.

i had mine relashed with the 21-04-00 after i had all of my DTT equipment installed. i only did it bc massdiesel told me i needed it, to tell you the truth i didnt notice a difference. so i couldnt tell you if it works or not, guess it did.

With a modified valve body and TC, I don't think you will have any luck with the dealer signing to not charge you if it doesn't fix your problem. The dealer here charged me $45 for the reflash.

It sounds like a resistor will fix your problem, but a reflash may help too.

I'd get the reflash, and if it doesn't fix your problem, then add a resistor.

Bandit1, if your transmission was going into limp home mode would you know it plus it would of most likley have lit up the MIL.

Cooker, I do have the resistor already installed.

Just a suggestion. Maybe you could try a different resistor. I would talk to the guys who did your transmission and/or Dunrite and see if they might recommend a different size resistor.

I am in the process of going through the same thing. I am getting second gear starts. I have replaced the governor pressure solenoid, and put in one of Bill's dial-a-voltage to eliminate the problem. Neither of these worked. Bill K. now suggested I check out the TSB 21-04-00. I hope that fixes things up. Resistors did not cure my problem, maybe you will be luckier.

John, Tony at Dunrite also suggested that I get the TSB done. It just seems the computer is just to tight for a BOMBed transmission. Monday I'm going to call Max at Victorville Motors and setup a time.
