has anyone installed a b&w on a first gen 350 truck need help

I need to install a gooseneck hitch on my dodge dually 350 1993 truck. the bw model is 1300r.



first how far in from the rear of the bed should the ball be mounted? right over the axle?



the chassi has no flat parts to mount the hitch, so do i use spacers to make up the difference?



seem like the gas tank will get in the way if I mount this in front of the rear axle.



It would be great to here from someone that has allready done this to a 1stgen, so I can learn from your efforts.

Hello, yes I have that file all ready. Need something specific for the dodge and how to handle the curves of the chassi.

the center of the ball (or kingpin on r. v. style)should go about 1" ahead of the axle center line. The hitch mounts on my truck go down and bolt thru the side of the frame,more strength than on top of the rail. We put a hidaway on my friends 2nd gen,we bolted heavy angle to the flat piece and went down over the outside,then bolted thru. Hope this helps.
