I don't see a problem, I put a 6 foot extension on mine so that it goes across to the drivers side so I can not pull out and rip the cord out of the heater just the extension may get damaged.I have two cords run down to tow hook one other for a trickle charger, that said have something that will not snag and will handle the wattage I thing it is 200 watts not that much. I also have a welding cable with connector to the battery on the rt. side for my winch when installed and for my jumper cables and a big inverter for 120 volt for temporary use.
