Mine will be here on the 20th and at the dealers by the 30th of this month. That is Long Beach L. A. and it's a special order. I may not take delivery due to the fact I'm thinking of buying a 2nd gen 1995 x-cab 4x4 diesel 2500 fully loaded for cash, the money I was going to use for my down payment. I will make my decision after looking at the truck on the 30th.

I wish they still did the factory pickup program like they did years ago.

Got my order in before x-mas. The dealer says it was built on 1/7 in Mexico, put on a railcar to the port, put on a boat to Baltimore, then a truck to my dealer. It is scheduled to arrive 2/5.

How come mine is the only truck I heard about that involves a BOAT in delivery?

A MONTH TO SHIP A TRUCK?:{

I may have to go to CTD/Dodge rehab for the withdraw and psychological damage this wait is inflicting on me.

Does it really work to tell the dealer "no decals"?

Waitin' on my 2004 1/2, 3500, 4x4, 4 door, "600", auto, LWB.

Yours isn't the only one to go my boat. My '04 came by boat the wait on a boat is long because they have to fill it. Just pray that there are no storms that can cause damage to the shipment.

BTW, you can tell the dealer "No Decals. " Don't know exactly what you mean by it, but that's what I told my dealer and I got my truck without the dealer name and what not plastered all over it. Only have the logos that come from the factory on it.

Nothing signed nothing as to be taken on the orders. You are not allowed to purchase the truck untill it arrives due to damage that might occure in transport.

Ordered mine on 12/22/03 2004. 5 3500 SRW QC SLT SWB 4x4 CTD600 Auto 4. 10

It went D1 status on 1/9/04 with estimated ship date of 1/20 and vin #195xxx. as of today Dealer checked and it was still D1. On 1/16 I called DC and they said it would be built first week in Feb. Dealer printout didn't show that, wonder if DC just made that up to keep me from calling back. Diesel Dan ordered his 12/30 and had higher vin # if I recall right, and he was told by DC that his was being built today 1/19!, Look forward to hearing from DieselDan again and I will post updates to my status here as I get them. Remember all, Good things come to those who wait.

:p 1/20 Update, BOTH DC and dealer confirmed today that truck had been built and that it is in KZ status (released by plant)

CMeese,

I got the D1 and build date info from DC customer service one day and called a few days later and got the same canned response that it would be into February. My dealer has never indicated that it was in build stages.

Oh well, I hope the production plant does not have as many answers to questions. Our trucks could be one h*() of a mess!!!:D

Mine was shipped about 1 1/2 weeks ago. I've been tracking it on the UPRR site. It's currently approaching North Platte NE on it's way to Cheyenne and then to Denver. I hope to fly up to Denver and get it this weekend. If not, then next weekend.

Track my truck

Hey CRABJOE,

I sure hope my new mamacita has a nice jiggle free ride until I get in the left front seat!

That's all I want is no dealer installed stickers and crap.

Speaking of no decals, is there any plastic that dealers drill on the front bumper to mount the front plate? I live in PA and we have no front plates, so the dealers all throw their crap on there too. I've had several plastic bumper skins drilled after telling the salesman to leave the stuff off.
