the jury is still out
Bill Kondolay received a set of these coolers from the manufacturer to test/try out. Bill solicited a volunteer at the Diesel Thunder in Spokane rally last month... Piers stepped up to the plate.
After looking at these I determined they were not properly machined (and voiced my opinion on the subject to those looking at them)... the two mating surfaces on both parts were just rough sawed... they should have been milled to establish (at least) a flat surface which would lessen the tendency of gear oil leakage after installation. Even if silicone was utilized, I still believe leaks would (or could) occur... at least with the set I checked out.
I know one thing, for $249. one could just about pay a machinist to fabricate a set from billet aluminum! Keep in mind the two parts are only extrusions [they cut the two parts to length from a long piece of formed (extruded) aluminum channel, drilling six holes on both sides of each part]. Seems rather steep to me for the apparent manufacturing cost involved. Although I never heard the cost of the Fast Coolers, I figured they were in the $60. to $80. range.

Keep in mind this is only my opinion and in no way reflects the opinions of either Bill Kondolay or Piers Harry. As to how well the Fast Coolers work... I have no idea, I just wanted to comment on the quality of the sample set I witnessed. I'm sure either Piers and/or Bill will comment about the operating results obtained at a later date.
