My wife is after me again to get some sort of steps for our truck. I was originally thinking of the full length Waag nerf bars but have found that they will interfere with my frame mounted Tork-lift camper tie-downs.

I then was thinking of the Westin Cab length nerf bars which will not interfere with the Tork-Lifts when I noticed that they make a universal illuminated running board. My consern is how these would look on a Ram (especially a dually). If anyone has experience with these I would appreciate the info. Also, a picture or two would be very helpful. Thanks in advance and Happy New Year!

I bought Westin Stainless black nerfs for my truck last year. After I saw some Smitty-bilt nerfs at last year's BD Dyno Day, I bought the Smitty-bilt hardware package because the fittings are so much better. The support links don't require drilling holes in the body supports like the Westins, and Smitty-bilt supplies plastic bushings for the ends of the nerf tubes so they don't scratch the paint off the brackets and cause rust.

You might also look at the color-coordinated ground effect-running boards that Mopar sells through the dealers' parts department. I saw a 3500 done with these the other night and was impressed.

All the best in the New Year! :)
