I have not, but have followed the debates for a few years.

Conclusion:: Banks is overpriced, and way underpowered. You can get much better performance from several different makers, at a fraction of the Banks price. Banks does have good marketing, but they are very lacking in the performance department.

I have also seen dyno results, first hand. I saw almost identical trucks. One with a 2000 dollar banks system and one with a 500 dollar fueling box. The fueling box won on power.

get your umbrella out and open it up quick... you are about to get rained on. .

Bottom line do whatever your comfortable with. .

there are much less expensive ways to get your power up and past their set up... . however their set up is turn key and better for some users. . [guys who do not have interest in doing the work and having some control in the process... or the lack of ability and are not located by others who are willing to teach/help them get power levels to where they want. ] no flame intended here . . just do some research using the search button and make an informed decision.

Be forewarned that the stealer will use any modification to the engine or its controls (read increase in power) to invalidate the powertrain warranty. There have been a few that understand/overlook but they seem to be rare. But having said that, one look at my signature will tell you what I think of my warranty :D Although I have never owned any Banks equipment, my reading here and close-up inspection of it tells me that it is well engineered and quality. If your goal is, like many of us, to extract mucho power for the least dinero - there are much better avenues to pursue.

I have a Banks PowerPack and I can tell you that your money would be better spent elsewhere. You can get the same power from an EZ.

I am running the power pak also. easy install the stuff bolts right on but I wish that I had joined the TDR before I bought the power pak as there are better and cheaper ways to get more power outta the truck

I have a Banks Power Pack system on my 1999 Dodge. When I had the system put on my truck, I did not know anything about TDR or that much about diesel engines for that matter. I have read alot of peoples likes and dislikes about Banks Products on the web site since I've joined in July of this year. My opinion about Banks products is that maybe they are a little expensive, but they are very well engineered and very reliable. Granted there are alot of ways to increase the power that the Cummins engine can produce. You need to ask yourself "How much power is enough?" There are minor modifications you can do all the way to major modifications. The Banks kit I have gives me an Increse in power that allows me to do what ever I want to with my truck. I could go out and spend more money and get more power, but for what I use my truck for, I dont need to. If you want to be able to smoke the tires through every intersection in your town then you might want some bigger modifications than a Banks kit. I consider my truck to be a significant investment that needs to last a long time. I'm happy with the way my truck performs. I remember how guttless it was before the Banks kit. The day I had the kit installed and drove home, it felt like the truck woke up from a long nap. The choice is yours. How much power and reliability do you want?. More power = shorter engine life. With the added power the engine is putting out, I change the oil alot more frequently than I did before the kit was installed. Thats my two cents on the matter. Knowing what I know now about other ways of improving the power from my truck, I still would probably spend the extra money for the reliability and piece of mind.

too much buck for the bang, I have the exauhst, cause it sounded better, and the high ram, for asthetics , and it adds 8lbs of boost (weather you antibanks guys like it or not), I painted it red to match the V/C

I have it as well for the "look" of it. However it has provided no noticable gains to my knowledge... ..... certainly nowhere near 8 extra psi of boost. Other then changing the intake manifold... ... . what else did you change at the time?... the gasket? anything on the turbo?

It would be interessting if you have your stock piece still to put it in ... ... . and see if you still have that extra 8psi... ... . I'm gonna put mine on and tap it for a temp gauge to play with some temperture readings.

I had the power pack on my 24 valve and then switched to Diesel Dynamics parts. The DD parts were about the same price but a lot more power and flexibility. I guess what I am saying is go with DD stuff because it will save you money in the long run.

i noticed more power with bank's

... good power . . but i can use more. and now to dtt... . and pier's ... maybe how about injector's ... and off to d. d. in vegas... I can't feel the power any more. . I must need bigger turbo or propane fumemagation. . help me and destroy my credit card. . :{
