This has most likely been bashed to death, but ... . has anyone moved the stock pump from the engine to the frame near the fuel tank?? If so how is it working out. I am considering this as an option in stead of purchasing an extra pump. comments please. thnx

Yes this has been done and from my understanding its with success, it makes sense too, the less suction or vacuumn line you have the better.

If you choose to do this first do yourself a favor and get the pigtail wiring from Cummins first that way you plug into the pump with the pigtail and just extend the wiring back up to its original OEM location

RHM,

Along w/ the pigtail, your going to need (3) Earl's #991944 adapters and (3) AN-6 JIC to 3/8" barb fitings (both can be purchased from Summit)to hook up you relocted pump the the filter housing. This eliminates the banjo bolts. Remember, you'll have to re-drill one hole on the pump mount as it will be facing the wrong way when it's mounted on the frame.

Look up Steve St. Lawrence's post on pusher pump install. A lot of the procedures are the same.
