i hate to guys but i beg to differ about being untracable. my dad has an 04. 5 and was able to try a buddies smarty for a day. after he reset it back to stock, had to take it in for an injector leak. (leak was prior to the smary) when he took it in they said there is a trip counter on the 04. 5s and up . soon as you put your stock software back it resets the timer. so when we took it to the dealer, truck said it ony had 3 hours run time on it and only driven for 84 miles. dealer said only way POSSIBLE to reset that timer is a programmer. not sure, we may be the only one thats had a problem as i have not heard of one other person with a problem taking it to a dealer.

I have looked at 03,04,and 05's they do not leave any trace detectable at the dealer level.

Coming from someone who is very famiulare with the smarty, That statement right there leads me to beleave it can be detectable by some one on a higher level such as a zone rep or other. Now we all know that if the part is a warranty part and expensive DC will ask for the part or send someone out to inspect.

I think I read on one of these threads some where that even Marco said nothing is undetectable.

Would Marco or some one who knows more about the smarty for 3rd gen Dodge cummins diesels CR systems please come forward and let us know for sure if it is detectable or not.

RossA,

I thought you were going to come back on and let everyone know that your Dad's truck had another product on it before the Smarty?

Bob, I want one! But... I... must... resist... ... ... . !!!!

PM me the cost + shipping to Englewood, CO 80112 if you would.....

Oh the torment. It's like candy. Expensive but fun candy.

Well let's see now, We have two known guys on this thread that are knowledgable about the smarty for the CR and both choose not to answer a very viable question. Instead they choose to try and sell a product. Makes one wonder.

the questions been answered numerous times. try the "search" feature :)

The search feature is a joke.

It would have taken you less time to just say yes or no than type a whole sentence.

Man, why is it so hard to get information but your sure willing to sell?

Smarty Detected

My Smarty has been detected a number of times at Houston Raceway Park, mostly by Mustangs and Camaros :D .

Sorry I just could not resist the childish, silly attempt at humor ;) .
