I was just wondering if dynatrac had solved the leaky axle seal problem it had that prompted them to stop making the beefier real dana 60 inner axle shaft conversion they were selling?

It was an option for their lockout hubs with real wheel bearings kit that eliminated the wimpy Dana 44 sized axle shafts and disconnect Dodge used in these counterfeit dana 60 axles.

The conversion is way too pricey, and still does not address the weaker ball joints, but it was the best hope for these front axles yet.

Any news or comments from any of you guys who already spent the big bucks to do this?

I called Dynatrac 3 weeks ago & the tech guy said yes the leaking seal issue was fixed & he had 100 kits due in on 2 July. Now the problem is finding the kit on sale. I have seen the Stage 1 kit for 1775, too bad it was 10 pm & couldn't call to ask for inner axles.

4-1/2 years in to the future. . Not fixed. Just had some installed by a reputable installer. Been back 3 times in a few months due to the right axle seal leaking. Just when I think it's fixed, the puddle returns.

If it is made "right" anytime soon, will report back and give credit where it's due. That has not happened yet.

UPDATE 2/7/2013: Dynatrac made this right. . They took delivery of the truck, cut new axles, re-assembled, did a nice job. I took the truck on a 19 mile trail run through the Coso mountains. Climbs and tracks outstanding. No problems afterwards. . So far so good - Many Thanks to my original installer and Dynatrac.

RECOMMENDED. .
