hey folks,

With as many people who want the Edge ez's or Comp box's, has there ever been a group purchase setup?? Seems like we could round up plenty of folks to participate.

on a side note, If I get the comp box and install except the one wire that makes it act as an EZ, will my stock auto hold up? It's my first engine mod and I was going to get the EZ but I see everyone ends up going to the Comp box later.

Thanks,

Ken

i've got a 5 spd ....

so i can't answer for the transmission. a couple of guys had thier trannies start slipping with an EZ... ... ...

do your self a favor and get the COMP... . you're gonna do it later anyway. my wife talked me into the COMP with the same arguement.

NO....

The answer to your first question is NO... . The answer to your 2nd question is yes.

Edge does not sell products direct anymore, but through distributors and vendors... Most of the time these vendors offer specials from time to time so check out the treads.

kbond,

On your "side note" question, NO, your stock transmission won't hold up, and this is the voice of experience talking. Pump wire or not, you're going to have a whole different animal under the hood. It's just a matter of time.

MORE IMPORTANT: From your sig, I don't see any reference to gauges or improvements to air intake or exhaust.

Do it. You need four gauges:

EGT monitoring is criticical - especially after you hook up that pump wire, which you will eventually do.

transmission temp gauge for watching the abuse you are inflicting. Even more important if you tow.

Boost gauge for diagnosing performance changes.

And now, as we're all learning, a fuel pressure gauge, because it's not a matter of IF, but WHEN the lift pump will die, and this eliminates the guesswork - the symptoms are not always the same.

Welcome to a whole new way to spend money!

I have had my Comp box hooked up without the pump wire (acts like an EZ) for about 9 months now. I plan on getting a transmission when all the dust from the transmission wars has settled. I have incresed the line pressure in my transmission though if that matters. My transmission has not sliped yet (THANK YOU LORD!!!). :D

Andrew

Andrew,

9 months might be a record for how long a person can go without hooking up the wire.

I'm waiting for my Comp Drag to arrive hopefully by end of next week. I hope my stock clutch holds up for a while. I really don't want to do a clutch upgrade at this time. Anyone want to buy my

PE EZ box for $350. 00?

Charles,

It's called self-control. :D

If you can't find anyone to take that EZ off your hands, and you just want to ge tit out the door, send it my way.

Andrew

Andrew,

What self control you must have... . :D :D :D

I'll see what kind of bites I get after I post it on the Classified sometime next week.

I have no self control and will hook up the wire on the day of the install and it will be all :D :D :D :D :D :D :D .

See, Andrew? Charles understands.

Isn't there a little bad angel perched on your shoulder whispering in your ear?

"Pump wire. You want it. You know you do. You paid for it. You need it... . "

FJ,

That's what real men do! ;) :p I was still in denail at the time of the install, so I made it 5 days without it hooked up... ... never again!:D Now if I can get some time off to get my transmission done we can start getting serious about this bombing thing..... Oo. Oo.
