Have a CEL with no codes

Turned my headlights on today and it restarted my radio and threw a cel while going down the road. Truck feels fine doesn't run rough and wierd thing is there are no codes. I have driven it around a bit been started several times but cel won't clear. Any thoughts. I have after market headlights that have been installed since January. Never had this problem before.

What year of truck? The CAN bus trucks need a scanner to read correct DTC's.

2006. The codes usuall are displayed the odometer when I cycle the key. The truck is bone stock no programmer ever

Not all the codes will display in the odo window on a CAN truck, need a scanner.
