OK heres one for ya that I have never experienced. today while driving home my door locks all of a sudden would periodically unlock themselves. I did not think much of it that maybe I bumped it with my hand. Well tonight I walk out and the lights in my truck are on, so I hit the lock button on the transmitter and it locked; not two seconds later it unlocked again. I tried both door switches and both of my key fobs but no success; it would keep unlcoking. So I took both of my key fobs and located them about 300 feet away so they would not be "seen by the truck thinking maybe I had a stuck button or something but no success, keeps unlocking. It sounds like the Centeral Timer is sending out the unlcok signla and in some cases holding it for a couple of seconds. Anyone have any ideas? I pulled the power door lock fuse and that killed the problem along with my interior lights and of course the security will not arm. Anyone with any good ideas please let me know this is a problem I want to resolve fast. Also just a note it has been raining here so not sure where water could get in and do this but it is a factor.

Thanks for the info checked it and it does not fully apply but is worth a shot, the unusual part is that it just started after 26,500 miles. Also update, I pulled the fuse to the door locks and reinstalled it when I left and well it still happened but unudually it did not do it as often, also noticed that the over 15 MPH locking was not occuring.

well pulled the battery cables and well you guessed it as of right now the whole thing is fine, so I guess to the dealer for a new CT as mine fell into the catagory time frame for the TSB, again thanks

coarse have you changed any electronic magnetic fields which could be on taz's frequency- key pass, radio, cell phone ect. many key passes put out a signal- my wife's would set off a securety alarm at a local department store- something to think about--- see ya tues---- bub
 
well thought that the battery reset fixed the problem, well it did for about 10 minutes. Now instead of it wanting to unlock the doors it is locking them instead, going to run to the dealer first thing before I leave.

You have a real interesting problem. Please keep us informed about what's happening. I don't care for the security system, everytime I go under to change the oil my truck starts beeping at me. I'm guessing you may have a faulty sensor somewhere. It probably only takes one to mess it up, and those sensors are all over and under the truck.
 
The problem is the truck knows you are allowing HVAC #ad
into it sat so its doing all sorts of weird things before it happens we all know what type of influence he is on most trucks #ad

There is a TSB out on the problem or one like it. [TSB 00 08-26-00].
A friend just had the same problems, doors lock/unlock and cab lights come on. It happens with the truck running or shut off.
I tried to paste the site here with the TSB but it won't take.

Since I fall into the range of the TSB, should I get the Central Timer replaced even though I do not experience any of these syptoms? I just hate to go to the dealer unless I have to.

Check out my post from 3 days ago "Power door locks went nuts" i am having the exact same problem right now, since wensday. All i can do is pull the fuse
 
I don't know that I would do it just because but if ti does happen at least you know wha to do. Problem with pulling the fuse for the guys with the Security package is in some cases it will not allow the truck to start if you pulled the fuse at the wrong time.
