So I traded in my 99' 24v quad 4x4 auto for an 06' flame red 4x4 quad cab long box auto ,and love the upgrade!!! I had analog gauges on my other pick up and they worked out pretty well. In the search for new toys for the new truck I have found a digital gauge set from BD. Does anyone have any input on the digital gauge sets, pros - cons, likes - dislikes ??? I imagine that the installation will be the same, drilling, tapping, hiding everything in loom so it looks nice etc. And not to forget a day of tinkering under the hood of the new ram. Also while I have some time to pick everyones brain a little where in the transmission tubing on the 06 is the best place for the probe??? Is there an OEM replacement for part of the tubing on the high-pressure discharge side of the trans, such as with the 99's ?? Or am I just to guess and go spend some money down with the Granberry supply folks to hopefully find the correct fittings??????????

I had analog's in my '90 1-ton but opted for the Quad "Monitor" for my 2004. 5 and I absolutely love it. Go to the "Quad" website and read up on it for the details.

IMHO, the digital setups are fine but one resistor go out and you lose the whole show.

Id rather have analog gauges. They seem a little more accurate.

Iv got Isspro analogs and they work great.

Its actually a personal choice.

I used Diesel Manor replacement line it worked good ,you lose about a quart of fluid. Genos sells a fitting that clamps around the line and seems to be pretty easy to install . The replacement line is 65 at Diesel Manor.

Hey guys thanks for the replys, the tubing for the transmission is on order from Diesel Manor, and I think that I am going to give the digital guages a try.

Happy Tinkering

Jim
