Edge Comp Or Blue Chip Box

Good deal on aFe Megacannon....

Peter - hopefully you'll see this...

I have always been a bit curious as to the specific rating for my clutch. I got mine through Blair Pine, back in May of 2001. I believe it is a Con 01 FE, as opposed to the OFE. I'm hoping that this time frame that I got the clutch will make it easy for you to give me an exact answer. I'm just looking to find out what my clutch is rated for, HP and torque wise. According to a dyno run in January this year, I am at 439 HP and 860 #'s of torque. I don't sled pull and only drag race ocassionally, I just wanted to have an idea if I'm already at the edge of this clutch's power level...

Thanks,

Tom

thank u south bend

without you , a lot of us would be floating belly up in the water only for the sea gulls to pick at

My 13" Con OFE is holding up real nice.

Dyno'd @ 457/950, and the HP numbers from track times show me to be over 480HP.

When at the track, the Go Pedal doesn't come off the floor.

Driving in town,, well, 2nd gear, foot on floor, and adjust clutch to hold 2K RPM until vehicle speed matches engine speed, 2,800RPM, then next gear.

I have a HX-40 with 18 housing. I hear the biger exh. housings are easier on the clutch.

If you are still checking on this thread Peter, can you give any validness to the big Exh. housings claim?

(BTW: If I can find a little water, my clutch can handle 4th gear starts/donuts,, impressive to leave 100' of rubber on the ground. EAT THAT POWERSTROKE!)
