He is correct, Just grap the rubber bumpers with some channel locks and twist them out. If intalling new urethane or rubber one in the stock pockets, spray some WD-40 and they go in easier.
If you are using a Rancho Kit where you have to drill thru the stock poket to bolt in the new bump stop mount, just be careful to drill straight and level. I have found it easier to drill the outside then use a punch to flatten the tab back smooth with the back side before trying to drill thru...
