I too have a burnt rubber smell on shut down, but cannot find any info on it. Where could it be from?

I have smelled that as well, I think it happens when I shutdown during a regen. Not sure though, just assuming. Any idea from the techs?

I agree that this smell is related to the regen. If my truck is in regen on my way home, I will smell that when I get out. Seems normal.

The only real problem happened last week when the egr cooler valve crapped out. The only effect was the exhaust temps run hotter and its real hard to get them below 350 degrees for shutdown. That and the mileage sucks in the winter. Hopfully a smarty will help that.

Just unplug the egr valve. I have had very little trouble on my 07. 5 6. 7ltr. Although right now after sitting for one week my turbo is sticking. I am saving for a htt 64 and a new manifold.

I was running with the egr valve unhooked, then if i cleared the code it would throw another and do this stumbling crap for about 3 cycles where the rail pressure would jack about 1000 extra psi, who knows. I'm gonna get the cooler valve fixed then when warrenty is up, so is the emmissions.
