Have you noticrd that a lot of newer GM's have a front parking light out????

I can't help but note that a very high number of newer GM's have one of the front parking lights burned out - they must have a bunch of durabulbs!

Na, It's those lovely daytime running lights GM puts on them. the dang things are one all the time and the bulbs burn out really fast.



Ryan, a friend of mine took the bulbs out all together and put in some blue flashing lights for the fire department. Now the daytime running lights are just wired up out of the way under the bumper.



I hate daytime running lights Just really seems like a waist.

Daytime distracting lights

Are there any sites with instructions on how to disconnect them? As in my wife's Blazer. It even turns the regular lights on when it gets dark. I think it is a safety hazard because you can't turn them off if you want to hide from someone.

I was told that if you push the e-brake till it clicks once the day-light lamps go out. Try that.

I call them "one eye bow ties".

"Dura bulbs" is good too.

I wander if they are make with aluminum.

I have noticed that on the GM's. I was behind a 350 Ford a few weeks ago and every time he pressed the brake his cargo lamp would light up instead of his 3rd brake lamp.

Yep

I just pulled the fuse, no more DRL. Never did like DRL. Don't know if I like the auto on head lights ether, oh well. You can disable it temporarily by pressing the dome over ride button four times, so you can hide.

GM has issued a TSB for the drl bulbs, but the new ones are useless too



If you guys hate DRL's then you'd like the 03 silverado, quite a few that have rolled through our shop have a DRL cutout button you can push each time you start the truck and they stay off until you either shut the truck off or push the button again

The lousy DRL bulbs GM gives are not long life bulbs. . I switched to Amber "actual" DRL bulbs shortly after purchase in 01 still going strong... . The 03 have a new style switch which give full control to driver... .
