Competition carbon steel header???

Naw, Chipstein, I got out of that one. :D The trooper was sort of in a hurry to get to another call. Good donuts and coffee can't wait. At least that's what I tell him every time I see him at our shop, or over donuts and coffee. :D Lucky dawg has a regular cab '98 12 valve. :) Badly in need of some go-fast goodies.

Greg Boardman:

He(( yeah!! I am in the same boat. My fuel mileage is usually about 12mpg. Actually, this time it was 10, but that was b/c I was working on my smoke shows holding the brake keeping low boost!! Yeah and I got a deal on my tires where I can burn them out and they will still give me the warranty. Oh and whoever says you can't beat a vette probably just needs more engine work themselves.

I was in Vegas over last Memorial Day Weekend, and I went over to Diesel Dynamics (just for the shirt, honey - really!). While I was there I inquired about the difference a tweaked turbo made. The next thing I know I get a ride in the white truck. WORTH THE PRICE OF ADMISSION. Of course I was in no way interested in the speed aspect of it at all, just the reduction in temps. I had to keep telling the girlfriend to watch the gauge, not the road, but for some reason I don't think she believed me. While we were out we stumbled across a vette that wanted nothing to do with us - apparently he was DD's whipping boy and had regularly lost to the truck in question. I never would have thought that a 4X4 truck would own a sports car, much less a vette, until I saw it with my own eyes. We get done and he says, "wait until you see it with twins... " Hmmmm, I hope Buffett plays there next year.

Reb B. , You're right, most Corvette drivers just don't know how.

Lotta drivers out there seem to be old guys with fast cars and slow minds. Of course they're the only ones who can afford them. Before the geriatric crowd comes after me, there are exceptions. And it doesn't apply just to Vettes either. Ever play with a Ferrari or a Lambo? They usually won't, because they're too conspicous. It's more fun to play with ricers, watch out for those WRX's, they're quicker than you'd expect.
