I was looking at my pads today and I pulled my caliper mounting bolts out to look at them and to put some antiseize on them and the manual says to torque to 38ft lbs well I was running the torque wrench on them and that seemed a bit much I was worried about snaping the bolt just curious if you guys had the same feeling?

38 ft/lbs always seemed about right to me. If your torque wrench has a short handle I can see how it may seem excessive.

Just one question for LSMITH,

How were you able to quote illflem two minutes before he even posted? I want to learn how to do that.

Koa, Illflem deleted his first post and added the part about a short handle to a new post right after I had posted. I don't think my post had even come up on his browser when he did it. Took me a few minutes to figure that one out myself.

I thought about it, but Koa seems like a good guy and a straight shooter. Some of the others on here would have been FUN:D ;)
