I would enjpy hearing some Turbo reccommendations from you guys that have tried them. What did you like or dislike? What do you "wish you had done"? This is probably as loaded as an auto trans question, but i would still like to know which turbo (single only) you all think is the best and why. I am trying to decide between a B1, HTB2, and PDR hx-40, ??? truck is street driven to work every day like i stole it on the way there :-laf , Thanks, Dave.

i decided to go to the htb2 because of the upgrade opptions and price that and the guys @ hytech were easy to work with but you will find that just about anywhere that has a good rep.

Went with the HTB2 for the same reasons. Great turbo, but haven't had the chance to compare to a B1. From what I have seen and heard, they are both very reliable and are very close in performance.

I've heard good things about both but the B1 is the one I have experience with. It is rock solid and when I got it I was told no break in period and was dared to try and destroy it. At the time the guy I bought it from said if I broke it he would replace it free just to see one broke. I know power has come along way but I still havent heard of one grenading. I'm sure there has to have been a few by now with the big power but I havent heard of it. I have the quickspool version.

FWIW - The price on the HTB2 is not all that appealing anymore IMHO. The upgradability is a nice feature though and I'm sure it is a great turbo. I'm not so sure that Ken @ TAD would not be willing to work with you though if you wanted to upgrade a B1. It's worth asking.
