Anyone that leaks photos is in danger of losing their future access. I'm in Chicago now. Check back tomorrow (Wednesday) a little after noon eastern time for the complete Chrysler press release. Then check back later that night for my coverage (video, pictures, and article).

Mega Short Bed - there is no Mega Long Bed. I just finished posting my report, 155 pictures (100 of which I took today - actually I took close to 300, these are the ones that made the cut), video of the full press conference, plus the official Chassis Cab press release. It's on the front page. I've been working for almost 18 hours. I'm going to bed . . . .

Thanks Steve! I figured a mega-long would be too good to be true! Just as well. Can't afford one anyway!

I thought the 6. 7 was good for for 2010, but in one of Steve's pics it has a blue cap that says diesel exhaust fluid! 3rd pic down in his great photo album!

That's just on the chassis cabs - they are the only one's with the urea injection system, the 3/4 and 1 ton don't have it. It's in the text of the article.

DEF is only on C&C trucks if I read everything correct, ONLY the regular trucks already meet the 2010 emissions, so SCR is being added to the C&C trucks to bring them into compliance. Other than something else to keep topped up, this is probably a good thing. All reports I have read indicate SCR will improve mileage about 3-5%, exhaust should run a bit cooler, and less dependence on EGR to get the emissions done, maybe less soot being introduced into the engine????

There will definitely be a learning curve from the operation standpoint, BUT I think it might be a good thing long term.

EDIT, Steve replied while I was writing this, confirming my understanding.

Chalk that one up to someone who would rather look at the pretty pics rather that read the article. :{ Thanks guys I feel real stupid now!!
