Competition Truck Pull 10-01-05 Michigan City, MS

What's everybody doing for HD Intercoolers something that will hold just under 100 psi lets say. Haisley's, City Diesel, etc... . open to suggestions as my stocker just went out after 8 years 3 years sled pulling at 75psi :)

Thanks in advance,

BBD

Let me guess, it started pushing the tubes out of the ends..... glad I have my proto type. I had the whole system setting at a real high shop air pressure the other day with zero leaks. I did have to fix the turbo pressure system after a piece of pipe blow off the top turbo at 60 psi and hit the shop wall :-laf

Mine was like... ... . what is the deal with the lag pig, driving home i realized it was at 800 degrees and zero boost... ... huge leak... ... I still have it for parts too!

Scott,

The one I got from Piers is working great for me :D 85lbs to 90lbs most of the time. It has seen over 100lbs

Yeah Hoss, I was waiting on from PDR but I guess he has been having problems with getting them from the supplier.

Morse: around $750-850 with core is what a m seeing for the 2nd gen.

BBD- Jim- Extreme1- ANYBODY- Please post pics? :D :D :D

Are these HD intercoolers any larger than the stockers? I'm looking for one too... ... . Something better ya know... .

Nope, it was the exact same... ..... even looks the same except the square

tubes. It dropped the intake temp 55 degrees at the hat over a good stocker.

re

Hey BBD if all you are doing is sledpulling, don't even bother using one, just added weight. Put a piece of pipe in the place of it,with a couple of water sprayers.

Food for thought here: With any set of Twins the air temp coming out of them is HOT, way too much restriction for it not to, but even with all the restriction when you turn that loose inside an intercooler that flows like one of the square tube ones the air temp drops dramatically... ... ... it super cools to an extent. It then begins to heat up once again when it hits its next restriction(intake pipe, head ect. ) that's when you hit it with water to keep it there. Depending on the outside temp my intake temp runs between 110-125 degrees at the hat with water on, the 125 was with a shop temp of 104 and no fans... ... . you can do it with just water but it takes allot!

Jim

Yea it might there... ... . Sir... ... . CWO :) Love you like a brother ;) I know you hate that!

Heck, Scott, put a water sprayer between your twins while your at it.

Scott,

We just got a big shipment of HD 2nd gen coolers in the shop. Same one as Jim is running. Give me a call on monday and we'll get one heading your way.
