Head bolt retorque after head gasket

If a bolt won't come up to 115 ft lb reasonably fast, replace it. You can do them one at a time.

I picked up the bolts today, and plan to plug in the truck overnight and install them tomorrow.

Installed brand new Cummins head bolts when I replaced the head gasket and had one of the short bolts not come up to spec. Upon removal for investigation the BRAND HAMMER NEW bolt was stretching while only trying to achieve 90 lbs-ft.

How much for new head bolts?

It was $115 and some change for all of them. I got tied up installing Mom's IP today (read about the weird problem I encountered in the radiator in the other thread), so I didnt get to it, and I just got informed the Dakota gets new brakes tomorrow, and "the guys" are too busy to get to it. But I will get to work in a heated shop for that one. Oo.
