I don't know but it looks like to me that the spray pattern is not hitting in the bowl of the piston? It looks to me that the piston wash is on the top of the piston, and could cause cylinder wash. I guess that you should see more in the bowl?

I don't know but just my thoughts out loud?

Looks like another reason why honing out stock injector tips to flow more fuel is not always the best way to go.

I went and glanced at my photos of when I removed the head on my motor and the spray patterns were inside of the piston bowls.

My spray pattern looked a lot like jwilliams3 when I took my head off (well at least 5 of the pistons did- 6th one was a little toasted)

im not too sure which set of injectors caused that. you have to remember this truck has had six or so different sets of injectors in it. there were simular markings in the bowls themselves. so im not too worried about the little bit of "overspray" that one of the sets caused. we will see very soon what this truck is made of. i cant wait.

From the looks of the video it looks like you guys did a hammer job on that cam bushing. Understandable though for a first time deal. Next time I suggest leaving the cam gear on to remove the cam from the block.

no there were no real problems with removing the cam the way we did it. it came out just fine. i just took my time with it to make sure i didnt hurt the front bearing. as soon as we took loose the motor mount bolts and took the motor up about 3 inches it came out like butter.

like i stated in my first post we did not cut the cross member. we would have had to if we left the cam gear on.
