Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Head gasket leak???

I had a head gasket failure on my 2001. It leaked coolant just under the thermostat housing. Has there been a problem with bad gaskets on the 24v's??

There was with mine... ... ! Oh yea, I guess that had to do with the nitrous

My truck blew a head gasket internally when it was stock. It was pushing oil into the coolant. The dealer replaced it, resurfaced the head, and did the R&R under warranty. It's held fine so far.

Mine blew aboout a month ago. When I took it to the dealer I asked if it was common and they said they had one in 2 days earlier with a blown HG. BTW, they had headgaskets in stock so that tells me it happens.
