Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Head Gasket?

I loaned my '96 12V to a buddy. Somehow the radiator sprang a leak. He noticed the leak but drove to a shop, it gets worse, he then drove the two miles home. I put in a new radiator and everything seemed fine. Yesterday I drove it about 20 miles and when i got home I noticed a coolant leak around the front passenger side of the head. Since I have a bit of a cold right now I did not feel like taking things apart yet. With the limited light (a flashlight and a mirror) I was not able to determine if the leak was from the headgasket area or the thermostat housing. It looks like it is coming from the housing but I am a pessimist. What do yall think? When I feel better I will be able to investigate more thoroughly; right now I would like some advise.

There is pattern in the 12v where that corner of the head lifts and passes coolant right around the t-stat housing. There is another thread here somewhere about the same issue.





Also, the print-o-seal used around water jackets on our gaskets are printed very narrow and the new gaskets address this with wider bands.
