Has anyone had problems with right side head light. It is not the light Bulb. I pulled left side bulb and installed in right side, still did not work. Found a part that is attached to fuse box that was replaced and solved the problem. Now one week latter I have the same problem. Starts with Light out on dash, on and off, then light out stays on all the time.

Thanks for your help.

head light

Yes, it was the Front Control Module (FCM) that was replaced. After 4 or 5 days the same thing happened. It is only the low beam right side, the high beam works fine. When I tested to see if the connection was ok i get blinking test light, that is when I realised that it was not a fuse. I traced it to the (FCM) which I believe also works with outside temp. and compuss. and other.

I have had the truck one year, It currently has 105,000 miles.

Thanks for the help.

The FCM is attached to the bottom side of the fuse box, as described in this bit of text from the 2003 service manual (this does NOT apply to 2005-up trucks):

2003 Service Manual said:
The front control module mates to the power distribution center to form the Integrated Power Module (IPM). The integrated power module connects directly to the battery and provides the primary means of circuit protection
and power distribution for all vehicle electrical systems. The front control module controls
power to some of these vehicle systems electrical and electromechanical loads based on inputs received
from hard wired switch inputs and data received on the PCI bus circuit (J1850).

This doesn't apply to 2005-up trucks, which use a "Totally Integrated Power Module" (TIPM), and hence don't have a separately-replaceable FCM.

Thanks "OH GREAT ONE" noticed your reply this morn... Quick look at the fuse box revealed a silver flat appx 3x6 box, panel attached to the outside of the fender side of the fuse box. . simple terms looking at the fuse box found the fcm located on the fender side of the fuse box. Was able to remove (much to my suprise it was rather easy) the box up to remove the FCM and did slightly torque the spade connectors on the fcm replaced tested and Voila the headlites worked as needed and of course required. Thanks again for the response.
