So the headlights are better on the 06 maybe they finally got it together. I put the brite box on mine with the silverstars got plenty of light on the road and out to the ditches it just don't shine that far out to me. Hell the lights on my VW NB are better than the truck. I guess I will try and adjust them up some and see if that helps.

You're pretty much out of luck without adding additional lights. I've tried the silverstar and other bulbs, its a very small if any improvement (personally think it was just my imagination thinking they might be brighter). You can help out the low beams with a brite box, fog light mods etc, but nothing helps the high beams which is what needs the most help. Soon as i get a brush guard I plan on adding auxiliary high beams. Take a look at www.rallylights.com though the sight seems to be down at the moment.

i agree, the brite box would be a total disappointment for me because the problem lies in the high beams. i just got some PIAA 525s (combination fog and driving light for $319 at trukcustomizers.com) i was going to mount them in place of the fogs (but they are kind of big - it is workable) . the lights perform better the higher they are mounted so i may be getting a bumper light bar or mounting them on top of the bumper - ?

enjoyed this article, my 03 lights are good but the deer are out at night in kansas and a lot more light is needed to avoid them. . Anything would help. . ill look into the bright or brite Box. . DOC
