Head Lights

Aiming the lights a little higher really helps. The factory setting had me looking under a shelf to see. I just had to ask online where the adjustment was.

I thought I was the only one that thought the lights were terrible. My '06 Ram had much better lights. Is there a replacement bulb that helps? Folks seem to think the Sylvania ones don't last too long. Dave.

Sorry I took so long to reply. I used a HID kit with H13 bulb style, 55 watts and 6000K color temperature. Kit was $139. 99 on 11-25-2011. Bought on E-bay from Autopartspro. I have no connection to autopartspro. There are many people selling these kits and the components all look similar to me. ( Have installed other kits from other suppliers) Installation was not hard but you do need some mech. and electrical ability. (Vague instructions seem to be the rule in all kits I have seen). VERY worthwhile mod!

Has anyone thought about the lights that are coming out in the 2013 RAMS? I'm hoping they are a direct bolt in/plug and play, Also the LED tail lights would be great too. Let me know if anyone has the same thoughts.

I have a 2011, and the regular beam headlights are OK. The bright's are great and mine light up refllective signs at a half a mile (measured) on high beams.



On the other hand I cannot stand those who have HID lights which blind oncoming vehicles on "low" beam. BMW's are the worst, along with lots of other brands. Blinding oncoming cars is not safe or polite. Going overboard will only blind oncoming vehicles, and potentially cause an accident. I have often wondered what it would take to retrofit something like a set of aircraft landing lights to my truck and other vehicles.
