Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Head studs and O-ringing

I plan on getting into pulling some when time allows. At about what horsepower range should this be done.

I would play it safe and say 450 HP 50 psi is way to much for a stock head

Retorque your stock head bolts to the 120 range. I know a guy that has been pushing 50-55 psi on a 24V for 2 years. Still stock headgasket and bolts.

Yeah, I knew they were overthere, just trying to avoid the shipping and or driving over and back a couple times. Any idea on what it cost to have this done?



Re-torquing, interesting. Might be able to get away with it. I doubt I'll be over 500 hp, probably between 450 and 500. Boost will probably be right at 50 psi. I'm not planning on going hogwild on this just local stuff or within the State.
