Harley Riders

Just thought I would give fair warning of me to announce my presence in Sin City. It would be cool to meet some of y'all from TDR Land, living in Vegas. . I would like to go check out the hoover dam one day while I am there, but don't know if that will happen. Anyways, just seeing if anyone is going out there for the NFR, or if anyone who lives there is going to be around... Chime in and let me know!

Go see the Dam and take the tour... ... it's quite cool! Ride the coster on top of the Stratosphere if it's not too windy, walk down the strip and go into every place, ride every ride and just take the city for what it's worth. It may be Sin City but there are allot of cool things to see.

Are you getting Married there?

Don't forget a Jacket..... it gets cool at night!

Jim

Stop in and visit the crew at Diesel Dynamics. Keith spent a good hour and a half talking diesels and fast cars when I went in 02. Also got a complementary ride in the "white 02" that was at the time JUST in the high 11's  .

As Jim said, walk the strip nightly, but don't start till after 11:00pm on most nights. Head off the strip for a change of pace.

We stayed at the Venetian (sp) when we went. It was amazing the number of young, scantily clad, beauties that always seem to show up in and around the gambling floor starting around 11'ish. To have been single then... ... ... Harlan, a guy like you could have a roaring good time here. Is the girlfriend coming with you??

Jim

no, I am rolling solo, staying with some friends at the Gold Coast. Where abouts is Diesel Dynamics?? I wont have a car, so I will have to take a cab over there... Either way, I will definitely stop by now! I am PUMPED, and cant wait to get on the plane!

Hey Chris, I'll be getting back here from OKC Saturday night with a stack of trailers, should have them down and unloaded by Sunday afternoon. Maybe we can grab a bite to eat for lunch Monday or Tuesday if you want on the way out to the dam, see what time looks like.

lol

oh no Harlan alone in Vegas?Dude. . the Gold Coast is a dump man, i know all the Cowpokes stay there, but dang could at least pick the MGM or Caeser's! :{ Go by the "Library" on Boulder Highway. . some good time memories with some diesel heads in the place. . :-laf

Hey!

Come on guys, the best place in Vegas is Sam's Town, on Boulder Highway. It's a vacation all by itself. Gorgeous inside park, good rates, and great food. Get the free shuttle to the strip, but the place offers $35. 00 rooms on your birthday for out of staters. By all means, don't miss the Imperial palace collector car museum, nor the Red Rock Canyon, north of Nellis, or the museum in Overton.

We go there often, and love the whole deal.

Merry Christmas!

Ron

Alright! The countdown is ON!!!! I am ready to step off the plane and begin the 4 day party! Sleep?? I will get that on the plane ride home. . Just totally stoked about getting into a change of pace as well as scenery. I will give y'all some updates, or you will for sure hear some kind of post... See y'all down the road!

Well, I am back, safe and sound... All I can say is SENSORY OVERLOAD!

I want to thank TDR Member Mark Meier for taking me to the Hoover Dam. . I have wanted to go there since I was a little kid, and that was awesome! Then, while taking some pics, we were almost on top of the dam, when Mark said "look!! 99999 on the odometer!" So we got out and got some really cool pics of his truck a few hundred feet after the warranty officially expired! I thought that was really neat as well. All I know is that the Gold Coast is where the party crowd is when the NFR is over at night. . True it is not the fanciest, but it is a blast!!!! I think I have some rooms comp'd there, considering I won like $700 in about 2 hours! That was a good thing! Oh well, I guess the countdown is on till next year in December!

Glad to be of assistance there Chris!! Look forward to meeting you again somewhere. Ummmm, what happened to that landline last night?? :-laf
